Re: I'm after a short two post Car Lift

Don't dig a pit without considering the risks! :o A lot of people have died in vehicle pits in much the same way as grain silos and slurry pits. To indulge in a little black humour it would be cheaper and far less effort to simply leave the [petrol] engine running and pipe the exhaust into the cabin...

Rimmer Bros.com are your friend! £270 exvat which you won't be liable for being outside the E.U but expect heft postage and packing charges.

Good luck!

Re: Cabriolet Window Problem

I did wonder if there would be a micro sw that cut the motor out when the regulator reaches the bottom of it's travel; would appear not to be the case. There is however a 'Window Lift Control Unit' located within the passenger door. I have no test data. Cabriolet Door Glass Adj [service repair 76.31...

Re: Cabriolet Window Problem

I think you will need some one with the electrical o/haul manual and that I haven't got.

I will have a shufti in the wk shp manual anyway.

Re: Cabriolet Window Problem

Hi All The Drivers side electric front window on my Cabbie keeps dropping out the runners. It's like the motor doesn't stop when it hits the stop on the arm. I'm sure I read somewhere how to re-set the position, but I can't find the thread. Thanks in advance Chris Do you mean that the glass is loos...

Re: Front windows broken

I have wondered if the pattern of these clips changed over the life of the R8? Alviseven swears he fixed his with tiger seal; he has two early cars. My 95 the clips are loose in the glass and would need to be jigged, either using the runners and the regulator in the car door or using a factory type ...

Re: Front windows broken

Have you broken the white clips or the glass? I have spares of both but the clips are not attached to the glass, hence why they're surplus!

Re: Returning Member Dwody

I bought one of Ebay that 'looked the same' but once the old one was removed from the seat obviously wasn't. It's the pretensioner bolt/tube under the seat that you need to look at. The short arm and clip that bolts to the side of the seat may well look identical, but you need to look underneath.

Re: 214 (1994) Rear suspension issue

I still can't visualise how the rear can become uneven when you release the handbrake, without affecting the front too, apart from the whole bodyshell warping. The car has rear drum brakes [at a guess], I've noticed this as well the hand brake locks the drum solid and when you lower the vehicle off...
