Re: SD3 owner from Germany

That isn't just a Rover quirk I believe that classic/vintage prices are higher across the board.

Max said "The PO is sending me a cheque to compensate for the battery and ignition bits, and Interflora'd my mum some flowers too!"

Some folk turn catching you out into a art form.

Re: 1990 416GSi & 1991 416GTi

I remember some one [Jonny216GSi?] talking about always replacing the heat sink pad and glueing/sticking it to the module? There will be a thread in T&D some where.

Re: 1990 416GSi & 1991 416GTi

The only time one of my R8's has completely died and refused to start full stop, the fault was the igniter module in the distributor. I think the T.C has a external unit to the distributor.

I'm glad your Mum took it all in good spirits Max!

1234Dist is the man to ask; but at a guess I would say no, because a 600 is a much bigger car?

Re: 1990 416GSi & 1991 416GTi

The way around that is to only swap the battery over every couple of moths, letting the battery partially discharge and then swopping it over trickle charging it while running the car up on a spare battery will be good for both the car and battery. I'm led to believe [Practical Classics] that keepin...

D16 Auto Box's

For a ATF change I'm thinking of using Hondamatic MTF 3? I have read that the Honda box doesn't like being filled with anything else? I can find two small filters, neither of which is asump type pickup filter; 1] under the twin gearchange soleniod on top of the box I expect that can be removed washe...

Re: 1990 416GSi & 1991 416GTi

Try and start it every month for half an hour and get the engine warm, park with the handbrake off. You can buy plastic blocks to put under the wheels to help keep the tyres round. Take off the battery. Sitting outside parked up doesn't do them any good at all, but sometimes I appreciate that it can...

Re: 1990 416GSi & 1991 416GTi

Well done! :laughing2 That's possibly the problem in my house, there is no one to say 'you've got too many cars!' apart from possibly the neighbours. I'm also picking up another one this weekend.... that's going to be five that I've got now! This means that the Charcoal Metalic 216SLi will be lookin...
