Re: 1987 Rover 216S Scrappage Scheme Victim/Rescue?

I've got a couple of spare jacks you're welcome to if there's nothing forthcoming. I am in Scunthorpe though but happy to pass it on to someone who may be heading your way. If we don't get given one on Sunday and nobody's passing would you be prepared to post one if we pay postage please? Yes happy...

Re: MG Car Club 90th Anniversary Social - Saturday 10 October

I've only lost two of the four MG centre badges on my Hairpin alloys (416 SLi) so surely my R8 would be eligible.......

Re: Peak District Run N-S from Holmfirth

Tbh I’ve never looked...*laughs* Www.timyurl.com/RoverRevival I will own everything for the roller shutter to the left and round the corner. Forgive my Luddite tendencies but when I click on the link, I am directed to a Daily Mirror "article" about Richard Branson and Bitcoin trading.......or is it...

I think when it's used in the scrapping scheme, it's has to be crushed. If you happened to know someone at the dealer, they may dismantle it for parts if you're lucky.

Shame though

Re: Roof Rack - 45 Saloon

After I posted I did see the roof bars you've pointed out. My concern (being the Doubting Thomas that I am) is that I can't figure out how they attach to the car. The roof has nothing apart from the two lines of vinyl inlaid about five inches from the door tops (front to back) and I'm can't see how ...

Roof Rack - 45 Saloon

I know this may be sacrilege, but I could do with a roof rack to carry push bikes......is there such a thing? After only a cursory look, I can't see any mounting rails or old fashioned type gutter to which I could fix a rack or bars. I am considering using any mounts that may be available to make so...

Re: Rover Revivals Revival

So, the expansion continues. I find out in two weeks if my building expansion will pass planning permission. If it does, that will mean our workspace will change from 2000sqft to 4000 sqft and will mean we might be able to have our own paint booth fitted as well :clapping Keep your fingers crossed ...

Re: The Hunt For Driveability in a 416

Forgive the ignorance but for my edification: the front brace is across the top of the suspension (under bonnet) and the anti roll bar is somewhere under the engine across the 'axle'? I know it's not an axle but the word suits my purpose and you hardly hear it these days so felt it needed resurrecti...

Re: Wheel be together again.....

Please do not keep it under control......I like it and, when the info is correct, there should be more of it. I'd also say there's no such thing as a 'nuanced inaccuracy': its either right or wrong! I feel happier knowing the info about the nuts too. Just to follow up the sorry tale of this car, it ...

Re: Wheel be together again.....

I only asked because between the cars I have, the nuts are different. Had I only had one car, I would have been none the wiser..... I think I am actually going to swap the wheels and keep the nuts on their respective cars depending on what the MOT brings. I am thrilled by the quick and accurate resp...

Re: Wheel be together again.....

Thanks for this.... Very much appreciated. So it seems that the steel wheels have (mainly) alloy nuts and the alloys on the 45 have steel nuts. The R8 I only drove about fifteen miles from the salvage yard and the 45 about thirty when I bought that a couple of months ago. The 45 is at the MOT garage...
