Re: Dash cams

As an alternative to running a cable all the way down to the cigarette lighter, cound you modify the interior lamp to accommodate a suitable USB output?

Then you can just hide some wiring above the roof lining :)

Well, that's a "Yes Please" from me!

If you would contact me by email, we can discuss the finer detail of getting things sorted. My email address is on the contacts page of The Viking.

Thanks

Well, John, that is impressive!

If you need a large workshop space in the Birmingham area at the end of March, I think I may know of one :wink3

All pairs of hands welcome :clapping And if we can scrounge some electricity, the coffee machine sounds like a great idea too! Plodder........I like the sound of your 416: could it be made available for the show in return for our best efforts at reviving the paint? We also do a very good grey plasti...

Re: Strange electrical fault...!

One thing confusing me here........you said that you were able to restart the engine, but it would cut out when the dipped beams were switched on. If the alternator had failed to put enough charge in the battery to keep the engine running, there would definitely not have been enough charge to run th...

Would you remind us all where the meetings are held, Trevor? I wouldn't mind betting that nobody will go looking in the 2019 thread to find it :wink3

Re: Jump Starting

The clock display problem is almost definitely a coincidence. The clocks fitted to the 25 and 45 do misbehave as they get older: generally segments will come and go at random! (Mine is stuck permanently at 5:52, so is only accurate twice a day, but that's another fault!) There is a guy on eBay who ...

Re: warning light.

Is it a red light marked 'Check Engine'? That was fitted on cars with the Honda 1.6 engine and if you have a quick search around this forum you should be able to find some information on how to read codes from a flashing LED on the ECU :)

Re: 1994 Rover 220 GSi - Project (of sorts)

:welcome As you will probably already know, the engine BHP and torque figures were published in the original manufacturer's handbook and brochure, but getting hold of a graphical record of power and torque across the whole rev range may not be so easy. The temperature gauge issue is likely to be a f...
