135 Cam Issue - (Remove the dizzy drive peg?)

#1 Post by ROVER-25X » Sat Jan 04, 2020 2:52 pm

When installing the 135 Cams into my 1.6 Cabby we had to install a dizzy cap drive peg, I ordered one online, press
fit it into the end where there was a recess and the car ran fine but i'm going to fit a 1.8 turbo engine, but the drive
peg needs to be removed so the cams can be fitted to a MEMS3 engine with wasted spark but fear it is not going to
budge, should I cut off the peg and grind it flush to the end of the cam and leave it or attempt to drill it out?

Will it protrude?
As in will the cover fit over it?
