Battery negative lead (turbo)

#1 Post by T16-Tomcat » Wed May 06, 2020 8:23 pm

Hi all, not sure if anyone can help, but....

I've completely rebuilt the engine and 'box on my T16 Coupe. It is now all completely clean and leak free, but somehow I've mislaid the battery negative terminal and main lead.

Is anyone able to confirm where the main cable on the negative terminal block goes to? I believe the main terminal cable his to a bolt on the nearside of the gearbox, then the engine loom and a couple of smaller body earth's connect to the bolt on the terminal.

If anyone can shed some light I'd be extremely grateful!

Cheers,
Kev

I have just checked it on mine. :cool
Main cable from battery goes to a bolt on the front right of the gearbox casing.
Smaller cable from battery to earth point on slam panel (A few inches from battery)
Slam panel earth has two much thinner wires from the body loom, I think one is the fan but im not sure of the other.

The negative lead from any R3 200 with a PG1 gearbox will fit, if you want to save a few £ :wink3
