Slow indicator

#1 Post by Mez Docherty » Thu Jun 04, 2020 11:05 am

Hi all! Hopefully you can help. When I use the indicators generally their fine but after a while it's like they get really slow. Not like there's a long gap between the click but just take a while to turn on, then stay on, then turn off and obviously repeat. Anyone had this before?

I have spare relays. If we can identify which one it is I’ll send you a replacement.

I *think* the colour means they're of the same type regardless of where they're fitted... but don't quote me. I.e. if you have a "yellow one" as Dist said, then you have a replacement. Best to check the markings on the top and pin out pattern underneath to see if they're identical, just in case.

So are you saying that you move the stalk to operate the indicators and then there is a delay before anything happens? If that is the case, I would think that there could possibly be a problem with the stalk (switch). However, the quickest (and cheapest) fix would be to check the relay first. It would even be worth removing it, making sure the terminals are clean and then refitting it.
