:D we used to go to cadwell park often when we used to live in S/Yorks,its a great club circuit...& have seen plenty of action over the years, due to the track being tight & narrow! Thinking about maybe going up to this meeting?Yeah, agree the 70s saloon racing should be good too! when you say road sport is that coupes & open tops as well? :S

It is a race series for road-legal production sports cars produced and registered in the 1970s with cars such as Porsches, Datsuns, MGs and many more marques. dont know about open tops but definitely coupes.
the historic road sport will have cars like TVR, Lotus, MG and Ginetta. again not sure if these are open top or not.

had a good day out with some nice weather. the touring cars and the 70's road sport provided some close racing and i enjoyed the formula 3 more than i expected i would.

there must have been half a dozen lotus cortina's and all but one was in the original colour scheme. the volvo was a nice sight and proof they once made pretty cars unlike the boxes that came out of the 80's and 90's. these were 2 of my favs on the day

a merc v8 just for the noise it made

Image

and this 240z. i've always liked these. this one was more like a show car and did really well. the guy wasn't afraid to give it some stick.

:closedeyes Can't say i'am surprised....was going to say, don't think it was a ideal car, because they are a heavy car, must cost a small fortune in getting running & handling right? :unsure
:rolleyes That said,it's nice to see something different on the track! Merc's were/are popular in rallying.....
