Actually it is best to test fire without the coolant in first.
Obviously not run for hours or high rev but test fire running turn off.

I'm actually planning to do the work for weeks :laughing2
i know i'll find more things i will want to do.

And as always with this car, 2 steps forward 7 steps back. :cursing

So all the brake lines are in and fitted great, all the parts sat laid out where they needed to be and i noticed minor little issues.

Minor issues like why isn't there a hole for my rear abs sensors in the rear dust guards :blink
Anyone ever taken a dust guard off, you need to remove the caliper, carrier, disc, and bearing to get to the dust plate.
Luckily the shed of wonderment had what i required on the first shelf :clapping so new guards fitted.

What other problems could there be that would cause so much cursing........

How about the front hubs are not ABS ones :slapme can't even drill and tap holes for them so now i have to refurb tatti's ones if i can get the control arms out (not succeeded so far).

still on target as to be honest as long as i'd got the rear brake pipes in i was going to call today a success due to it being 30 degrees :cool

As i said, not much to take pictures of but that will all change tomorrow when we start assembling the engine!!!

Or remove the fuel tank, not decided yet :glare

Yep, small wins. Wish I knew what that felt like :sad

I assume you're going to reuse the wheel bearings and ABS front knuckles complete, just to get it going?

I feel like going straight to ICE as well to cheer myself up, but I'm resisting...

I'm doing more ironwork in the garage later. I've stuck my head in ovens cooler than the conditions I'm going into.

I just listen to Pink Floyd's "Set the controls for the heart of the sun" to get myself in the mood...

Now if you could just think of a way of reliably storing all the heat energy the black body that is you and the car are about to absorb, you could reduce your heating bills come winter.

I'm just thinking long-term strategy here...

At this moment in time, I am the cause of global warming....*laughs*

I went in the front garden and it's comfortable enough to mow the lawn. In the back it's like dancing on the sun.

Turbo day :clapping

Here's the old turbo from tatti, perfectly serviceable but currently surplus to requirements.

For all those people who never ask, here is the difference between a t25 (stock) and a t28 turbo.
