Worth chopping some body panels out of it to save yourself some money in the long run, or are they too rusty? Rear quarters, sills, etc...

:laughing2

There are no sills, or rear qtr's and the only bits of metal that had no rust were cut out to help a guy call Jon on rcoc repair his red coupe.

The wings were sold at pol as I had replaced them already and the bonnet is being swapped for a silver one which will then be going to 25x.

She's like the town bike, everyone's having a go.

Poor car :laughing2 Save the VIN plates which are probably on "stalks" of metal now, barely connected together - then build another car around them :laughing2

Oh, and dare I ask... glass? Do you know someone skilled with a cheese wire?

My 5 door twin cam will probably leave like that once I've finished with it.

I spy with my little eye:

1. A front windscreen and rear view mirror.
2. An exhaust.
3. A petrol tank.
4. A set of rear shocks and springs.
5. Those funny vent covers under the rear bumper.
6. A perfectly serviceable plastic bag.

It was hardly picked clean was it :S When you eat a nice lamb cutlet you nibble it to the bone, suck the bone dry and give the bone to the dog :laughing2

All joking aside this sets the standard for how R8s need to be scrapped now. If all deceased R8s were broken down to this extent we wouldn't need to trawl Xpart only to find the dreaded "NLA" next to what we were after, and plenty more cherished cars would remain on the roads having been fixed at the right price. That's a 10 out of 10 from me, in case you were wondering :clapping

5. Those funny vent covers under the rear bumper. Silicone'd in and looked worse for ware.
6. A perfectly serviceable plastic bag. Had a split down the side.
Trust me, if it was useable it was used.

:laughing2 Fair enough. Though I put Duck tape down the side of split bags and keep on using them. That's just me though.
