As far as I could determine, as part numbers have continued to change from those given in Rover's WSMs, this is the current stuff. I obtained some for my current project, and on opening the Rover box, was intrigued to find the instructions bearing a "SilverHook" manufacturer's banner. It appears to be SilverHook's SG80 Gasket Sealant Kit.

It's quite pasty and doesn't flow to a thin film particularly well. So I wasn't altogether surprised to find it glued my camshafts! I turned these manually by their pulleys to free them up before fitting the belt.

FINAL UPDATE !

Well myself and mtechstevo have finished with the engine now, (we failed to improve on OEM *laughs*)
and it is now running on all cylinders and as it was before the water pump failure minus a slight
blow on the downpipe gasket, makes the car sound rough when it is smooth.

I had a low level coolant alarm kit from my MGF project collecting dust so I started fitting that onto
the car, the coolant bottle does not fit as the brackets are different so I nabbed a late model 25/ZR
bottle with sensor off ebay for £10 posted, I popped a dishwasher tablet in it and cleaned it up, some
attention was given to the float as they get covered in rubbish and sink.

Bottle fitted and wiring cable tied.

Control unit attached to this relay box then fitted nice and snug into the surrounding bracket, again
cable tied all the wires, if anyone on here is after fitting a low coolant alarm then tap into the Yellow
and Green wire from the reversing switch on the gearbox.

As for the engine, the 135 cams are out and stock cams are in, Steve was well pumped for this ! :o

Apologies to E_T_V, we used silicone again. :slapme

We were short on time but we used less this time and removed excess.

All sung.

I will post updates on the main project thread, this now serves as a what not to do *laughs*, or a
tale of how far you can push old tech before realising you need MEMS3. :laughing2
