Not me but I think someone in the club found a rear view mirror in the plenum chamber on a 200 series. We postulated that the person who left it there was using the mirror to "see behind" the bulkhead panel, perhaps whilst fixing the wiper linkage.

I've only ever found the odd copper coin in mine :sad

Having owned 100’s in my time and all requiring a fetle in one way or another my list is long but some of the best have been sexual in nature.

First was enough condoms (expired) to make a porn set look under stocked.

Few sex toys hidden in the boot and wedged in a mountain of rubbish under the drivers seat.

Sanitary products used to plug the boot vents.

And so on.

Back in 2016 i had to replace the drivers side wing on my Ex's Rover 25. Upon removal i found a quite healthy seedling growing out the dirt in the bottom corner. I guess this was why the paint colour was called Arbour Green!
My Rovers to date:
1994 Rover 220GSI in Tahiti blue (On the road)
2002 MG ZR 105 in Solar red (On loan)
1995 214i (On SORN)

Oh - if we're going towards the natural occurrences of stuff in a Rover, try behind the front mudflaps on an R8. You'll get a nice pile of dirt - a good handful or two on both sides! And leaves in there too. I'm still trying to work out how it gets in there, or whether it's just leaf ingress and they've all composted down over 25-30 years.

Dead easy to remove and makes a huge difference to the rot characteristics of the front corner of the sill if you remove this mass of rubbish which seems to build up - both of mine were the same when we first had them - enough to fill a good sized flower pot each size.

The only thing we have found in one of cars was a lovely note from the wife of the previous owner in typical elderly capitals in spidery uncertain shaky writing. It was hidden under the rear centre fold up arm rest and read

"Dear Bertha,
Thank you for all the lovely trips you have taken us on. I will miss you so much.
Your loving part owner Gweneth
"

Part of the reason why the car that was bought for spares is still with us seven years later and now resprayed and definitely not a spares source anymore.

Very moving testimony indeed! That only was worth keeping the car in good nick for ever! Hats off! :clapping
