I know the seller of this quite well and I have seen the car too: it would make a great daily driver or show/project car with a little TLC.
It received no bids and the only offer he has had since the end of the auction is from somebody who wants to break it and use the engine in a Metro

Blimey, I can't believe why anyone would retrofit a facelift dash into a pre-facelift car unless you like looking at all the mis-matched grains in the different plastics parts!

Worse things have happened, Jeremy...………...I have seen a couple of examples of that dash being installed in R8s!
I do get an air of nostalgia when driving my 2005 MG ZR: the dash rattles and creaks just like it used to do in my 1985 MG Maestro

The original soft dash is much better quality, plus I don't trust some peoples wiring on the Mk2 conversions, seen a lot of
bodges with the Hazard Swtiches over the years.
Coolant is suspect to me too.

The CX8 (1997 ROVER Cabriolet 1.6 K-Series, Resto Project)
The ASTRA-DX (2012 VAUXHALL ASTRA 1.7CDTi, Daily Eco Driver)

R.E mk2 dash conversion wiring;
The easest way to sort the hazard switch is to just relocate it to the lower right side of the dash. The original switch fits in an existing slot and the only extra bits you need are the front off an R8 hazard switch, a few inches of wire and a blank for the centre console switch.

2002 MG ZR 105 in Solar red (On loan)

I have found doing a simple rewiring job using the old switch, a relay and the Mk2 switch works great.
