Re: 216 sd3 carb ?

Carburation is becoming a lost art to ordinary mortals! :) I'm not familiar with the later tamper proof S.U's and yours may well be fitted with a auto choke? Basic carburettor tuning is conducted at tick over with a hot engine or rather at normal operating temp'. I expect the Haynes will tell you wh...

It was fitted to the J reg' GSI auto that I unfortunately had to scrap last year, perhaps GSI Turbo will know if the parts are still for sale? :)

Re: Stolen!!!

What has happened here, are we to assume these vehicles just vanished? at least the BRM turned up at a scrappy minus it's engine & no log book.

The early cars will become more collectable I expect, how I wish now I hadn't scrapped mine! :slapme

Re: Rover 200 Gti

Very few R8 200's had four way electric windows, always came as part of the 'luxury Pack' I believe. The 416 GTI they came as standard I believe.
I've only seen a luxary pack on a 216 GSi, so I would expect that the looms will need adding to. :)

Re: Which things will kill our cars? Common faults?

Early fuel filters for MPI K Series; MWJN101520EVA LE7 FILTER ASSEMBLY these are XPART stock numbers for cross reference purposes. See my thread on the filter.

The latter ones look identical until you try to fit the pipe unions... :mope

Re: Changing The Vertical Fuel Filter On 414

As some of you may know I've bought another 214 a low mileage 214Si with only 28k miles on it. I took the petrol filter off this evening and again a proper pipe spanner is a must. I also removed the banjo bolt into the inlet manifold for the vacuum pipe to facilitate some spanner space. Anyway I rem...
