Re: Gauging interest in R8 3 door and Cabriolet rear 3/4 repair panels

I would be interested in a nearside one as a better solution than the patch job I did a year or so back on our cabrio

I'm looking forward to seeing how this goes - I may be doing this to my daughter's R25 at some point

Re: Preventing Doorcard Crumbling

I would imagine that a coating of the resin used in fibreglass repair kits might work. Brushed onto the crumbly fibreboard it might soak in enough to preserve structural integrity

Re: Rover 214si 6 year SORN

Yh but for me is for an 18 year old so it's quite hard to find for first car insurance My daughter, who has just turned 19, passed her test last week. I've insured her 2002 R25 1.4 in her name, with my wife and me as additional drivers, for "just" 750 quid. That is cheap for first timers. The addit...

Re: Front discs

Is there any chance that the front calipers are sticking? The drag from pads rubbing on discs can cause discs to overheat.

Also - are the suspension bushes OK? Especially those that control fore-aft movement

Re: Do I still want a Ford Escort Mexico

I think the wider observational point here is why are Rovers so cheap? R8. prices are starting to creep up, I bought a two owner well looked after 216SLI with virtually no rust & good paint that was bid to 640 just two years ago. Jokers are now asking more than that for untested tat! :blink Why fol...

Re: Power Steering When New

We had a 1992 416 SLi (Honda engine) which had no PAS. My father-in-law had a 216 GSi at the same time and I have to say that like all Honda egined Rovers, I hated the "feel free" PAS on that.

Thankfully Rover's system on the K series cars was way better

Can you give me the name of the cleaner that you use in the engine bay, because it looked amazing?
