Re: gaiters an trailing arm rubbers

Drive shaft gaiters and trailing arm bushes are among the easiest parts to find for R8s. Whenever I look for
something Rover on eBay, the search shows dozens of these parts.

Re: Rover 25 Electrical/Alarm Issues

It was only the higher spec R8'S that had the timed curtesy light delay; GTI's, GSI's my late 95 SLI has it, but my late 93 [94 model year] 214Si doesn't. Not that it's relevant to this particular thread, but when Rimmer's had a sale of R8 MFUs with courtesy delay for about £12 each, I bought a cou...

Virtual machines are invaluable. I use VirtualBox and also Wine on an Intel-powered Mac to
run my EPC and Honda Civic WSM CD's saved as ISO disc images.

Re: NEC Restoration Show 2025

Now, that is nice! Its presence on the stand would be enhanced by the display of the 'before / unloved' condition, if available.

Re: Have I got a serious problem developing?

The chap who recently acquired J990TMO, which has had a few mentions on here over the years,
has been having very similar frustrating problems. Unfortunately he's over on FB, so good luck

Re: Rusty pipe union

You might try a block of hardwood of manageable size, drill a hole close-fitting on the pipe, and split it
so it can be clamped like a collet on the pipe, and allow you to tap the pipe axially. As the union has
partly unscrewed, there ought to be a bit of axial clearance to enable the pipe to shift.

Might you be able to transfer the intermediate bracket from the old to the plain new ones?

Re: Rear arm bushes debonded - MOT fail?

My replacements parted like that pic after quite a short time in service, with the car jacked up. I noted the suspension does adopt a pretty extreme degree of camber when drooping without any load. But if that's considered a MOT fail condition, I couldn't understand why polybushes with an unbonded c...

Re: Front engine mount replacement (Honda engine)

Trouble with engine mounts is that they never get a rest. Almost worth considering putting a jack under the engine when you know the car's going to be resting for an extended period, like over winter. The 1.4 engine mounts (gearbox end) are fiendishly complex and not amenable to swapping an insert i...
