Re: Assistance required: Herts/North London
I'm south Herts, about 5 miles from ULEZ-land. I'm K-series literate, not Honda.
(Coincidentally, I was recently interested in a 214 in Yorkshire, but discouraged by
transport costs as it wasn't road-legal.)

Re: R8 Windscreen Top Seal Part Number
I've just found this one: https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/174467376408 https://i.ebayimg.com/images/g/4g0AAOSw8vtffI2t/s-l500.png That looks very like the unsatisfactory one fitted with my last replacement windscreen. It's designed to overlap the adjacent panel, rather than abut as we would prefer.

Re: R8 Windscreen Top Seal Part Number
I wonder if Rejel still have the extrusion tool? If so, it would be useful if it didn't get put in a skip!

Re: R8 Windscreen Top Seal Part Number
Also, if all else fails - have you got a local/roving glass fitter/technician or a local windscreen replacement shop that would source you a long enough strip with the required profile? Re: 1990 R8 Electric Windows Problem
Stiffness anywhere would cause the motor to work harder, struggle or stall, depending how severe, so check the whole lift mechanism as well as the glass runners. While you're in the door, you could confirm that power is reaching the motor when intended. I had a speaker mute which I traced back to a ...

Re: Silver trim inserts in bodyside rubbing strips
The bumper ones have integral tangs at intervals which push into slots in the bumper.
The rubbing strip ones have a flat back and are held in by fiercely strong spongy
double-sided adhesive tape.

Re: Fitting a new Front Windscreen Finisher/seal
That'll be DCB10011 then. Even Rejel don't have them anymore.
When I had one fitted as part of a windscreen replacement, it was fitted dry to the edge of the
glass, then as both were settled into place the PU bonding bead spread sufficiently to grab the
finisher and retain it in place.
