There's a 216 GTI TC and a 216 SOHC in my local scrappy and I'm off there to retrieve a 220GTi frt bumper (see seperate thread) - do you want me to see if it's salvagable ?

I've followed Roverman's advice and fitted another fuel relay obtained from the scrappy and .......so far, so good. On re-starts since, it has always started as quickly as on an initial start but instead of the revs 'flaring' it settles at a slow idle - so slow that I think it's going to stall but i...

Almost certain that they do. There might be some internal differences between a pre-93MY door and 93-on, as they might have bunged some side-protection beams in at that point. There's very little in there on early 3/4/5 door cars.... The 2 share quite a few 'special'body parts as they were designed ...
