Green Rover 200 T44BRM in Bingham, Notts

I went for fish and chips near home in Bingham, Notts last night (1st Feb) at about 6 p.m. When I got back to my car a flat-bed truck was parked behind me with a clean-looking Rover 200 on-board. Did not take a picture, but its Reg was T44BRM, Green colour and the Reg shows up as Sep1999. The MOT hi...

Re: Tyre punctured

Yeah, tend to agree, that looks like a get you home repair for use at at low speed.Less than 25-30 mph at best.
A new tyre for an R8 is about £80, why not be fully safe for that amount of money.

More GTI's off to scrap?

From John Afd. Maybe it is just me noticing it? But seems like quite a lot more GTi's, GSi's, etc being posted here, on FB and eBay for parts before scrapping. Are others seeing the same? For Rover 216 GTi's DVLA's 'how-many-left' website is showing only 28 on the road in Q2 2021, in Q2 2016 it was ...

Re: Insurance

I use Lancaster, have done for four years now.
My 1990 Rover 216 GTi is insured for under £100, limited to 4k miles/year. Agreed value too.
It’s garaged at home and that seems to bring the biggest discounts. On road or on-drive parking will increase the cost.

Good luck

Re: Exhaust Info needed

I think that is for Single cam 1.6 in 3 door GTi, box might be in the wrong place to fit the 5 door.
