The early base models didn't have central locking, so you would need a key to unlock the boot.

You should be able to slide your hand or a claw hammer down the back of the parcel shelf, between the parcel shelf and seat back, and release the folding rear seat.

The last R8 built was a Tourer, VIN 935124. The latest Cabriolet known to the club is 934813. Unfortunately, when you joined the club, you didn't include your car's VIN so I have no idea where it is in the build sequence. If you can provide a VIN I will check against our database.

It could be a glitch in the MFU. They do come up on Ebay. I have a feeling that the facelift cars have a different MFU to the earlier 25s. I am sure somebody else will be able to confirm. The MFU is under the dash, driver's side. It is easy to replace.

The interior light issue is likely to be the contacts on the door switches. You may have a volumetric alarm. The sensors are at the top of the driver's B pillar. If you lock the doors with the key, rather than the fob, it doesn't activate the volumetric alarm. We have problems in hot weather when we...
