Right. I've decided she's presentable enough for the forum. Now washed and scrubbed. Behold my lovely Rover 216 GSi which I purchased in March 1995 from a local Rover dealer (still going) when she was 2 years old (1993 K reg) and had 19,350 miles on the clock. Just tipped the 100K mark recently. If ...
Well, it's a dye - it's cheating really I suppose as it'd cover a multitude of sins - even though I did make the effort to try and get all the tar spots and other bits of dirt and grime off the bumpers before applying it. At least you all know it does work - so you can take the plunge if you want to...
Right... bear in mind the car needs a clean - all the stripes and muck you see are just that - it's not the bumper stuff coming off, or dodgy paintwork - it's just 3 months worth of road dirt... I only have 1 photo of the "before" condition of my bumpers - this one is from the front: FRONT...
Right - I'm going to have to clean her first - she needs it. Please be patient. Just had the hatch and a replacement spoiler re-sprayed too - plus all new badges (managed to find a 216GSi one on Ebay and 16v one from Rimmers) and new ally plates, 'cause I fancied a change. Hi, I used Wurth Plastic Dye on mine - which is absolutely the bees-knees. I did the whole lot - bumpers first then the back board, then the side rubbing strips and finally the mud-flaps. The dye goes on the bumpers really well - use plenty so you get a wet rub rather than a dry scratchy rub - and y...

Forget the ones on Ebay to be honest - the reviews of the Osram Nighbreaker Unlimited series seem very good. 110% more brightness - closer to pure white rather than yellow. Standard fit H4 dipped/side and I assume you'll need H1's as well f...

Forgot to add... if you want some advice on how to look up part codes and where to get the bits from, let me know - I'm a bit of an expert now. There are even a few nice bits I've got tagged on Ebay that I've purchase but more are available... I have a slightly later 216GSi (1993) that I'm restoring...
Here's my two pennies worth: Rear sills at the bottom at the rear wheel arches - watch those like a hawk. You could seal them, or get wax oil treatment there, definitely. Also the wheel arches where the small grey/black plastic trim bit fits in line with the trim on the doors - paint bubbles there. ...
