Re: Humour

A friend of mine told me he feels like he's in a deep hole full of water.

I know he means well.

Re: Help with curious noise

Right - that sounds similar so I use expanding pliers to open it out and the cv joint should slide off the shaft? No, unfortunately not. So the snap ring only just squeezes into the CV joint shaft hole with a swift knock. If you take the whole driveshaft off, this probably just means gently droppin...

Re: Help with curious noise

Thanks - I’ll check that first - makes a lot of sense Yeah, probably the outer CV joint at the wheel. Perhaps a split boot and you've lost some grease, it was split and the garage renewed it but didn't put enough grease back in or smear it over the inside of the boot as recommended, or it's just ol...

Re: Banjo Bolt Washers [lack of]

Banjo bolts are EJP6233, out of stock. Replace with SYG100510 Washers are DJP5822 These are both labelled as "Rear drums OR brake hose to calliper" so I guess they're for both front and back. It's the only type of banjo bolt specified for front and rear in the entire system. They're common...

Re: Humour

Two nuns go driving between convents, when a vampire jumps onto the bonnet.

One nun says "Quick! Show him your cross."

The other nun agrees and shouts "Get the F**K off my car!"

Re: Transmission Cooler

You did well to get 3.5L out. But did that include whatever was in the pipes and heat exchange chamber in the radiator too? I normally get out less than 3L. If I quickly start the car and put the box into drive, then knock it to neutral and turn the engine off, I get a few more spurts out However, t...

Re: Transmission Cooler

Good choice. My local Honda dealers have zero stock, and it's on 'back order' with no eta for delivery as there is a 'supply problem'. I bought a 4 litre can online from Cox Motor Parts https://www.coxmotorparts.co.uk/honda-shop/genuine-honda-atf-automatic-transmission-fluid-4-litres/ for not much ...

Re: Humour

I've just had a former pilot redecorate the house.

He made a right mess of the downstairs, but the landing was fantastic.
