Welcome to the club and good to see that you have impeccable taste in driving a 216 Cabriolet.
Although I can’t help with the hood problem, I am sure that someone in the club will come up with a solution.
Thanks for the tip - I won’t let a dozen people sit on mine!

Re: Putting £ in
Me for one, but there is no accounting for illogical action when you fall in love.
Even now I would spend money a shedload of money on my 23 year old rather than think of it going for scrap.

Re: Sales recommendations
A photo or two with an honest assessment of condition, good and bad faults would certainly raise the interest level. Prospective buyers may react to that rather than a bald “214” statement. Good luck with the sale.

Re: My Cab - what is it?
So mine is definitely not an SE as it has cloth seats and a manual hood. When I bought it back in 1998 in Southampton, I had the option of a grey Cabriolet with an auto hood but declined as the option next to it on the forecourt was the magnificent red model I now drive with pride. It is close to cl...

Re: My Cab - what is it?
The first owner was Rover Cars, Longbridge. The Registration Certificate throws no light on the subject referring to it as a 216 Cabriolet. I have to assume that it is one of the 248 - the common herd- rather than the exclusive set. Thanks for your comment re. value, Dist 1234, but, as I have loved ...

My Cab - what is it?
On the "How many left" website the Rover 216 Cabriolet shows a total of 248 still on the road. Under 216 SE CAB it shows 3 still operational and under CAB SE it shows 36. My question is, how do I know if mine is a standard Cabriolet or an SE CAB or a CAB SE. As you can see, I am confused b...

Re: 200 BRM
Itcaptainslow says his car is not driven in the wet and is wash and dried every time it goes out. Doesn't everyone who owns a lovely Rover do that? I certainly do.

Re: Rover Revivals Revival
So where exactly is this facility and, for those of us who are not "technical", how do we book in our precious vehicles if we need to? I am not anticipating an urgent need as my small local garage loves my 216 Cabriolet as much as I do and tells me when anything needs doing. However, it is...
