Re: XW All Round Discs
I know there's technically no 'upgrade' in performance with them, but being an old boy racer they will look nice through the wheels when the car is at shows

XW All Round Discs
Following on from the 45 disc upgrade on the boys car ..... I'm looking to upgrade my discs on the Cabbie to grooved & drilled all round. This is where the confusion starts ... Are the R8 262mm vented front & 239mm solid rear all the same on whatever model variant ? I ask because looking on ...

Re: Rover 45 front disc upgrade
Job jobbed today, used my spare set of refurbished calipers & carriers from a 216 Cabriolet (the Boy owes me now :laughing2 :laughing2) The 45 calipers were 10mm(ish) narrower & the carriers were the same but for a small lip, which could easily be removed with a grinder to accommodate the wi...

Going on about the Scottish being tight, the Cornish are just as bad.... My Dad was so tight he used to turn the Gas off when he flipped his Fried Eggs over. I came home from School one day & Dad was stripping the Wallpaper, I said "bout time you redecorated, this wallpapers older than me !...

Re: Some Thoughts on the Rover 200/400 R8
I owned a Mk3 Escort SE Cabbie, the one with the RSTurbo body kit, many years ago, it was a good car & handled well. I was in a position to treat myself to a 'fun' car, so I looked at a few later Escort Cabbies, but nothing grabbed me. I then spotted a 1998 216 SE Cabbie, I thought looks smart &...

Rover 45 front disc upgrade
After some advice please...
My Son wants to upgrade his Rover 45 front discs from solid to vented, they're the larger 262mm.
He has sticky callipers to replace, if its just wider vented callipers & the Discs, he will get the vented items & they (hopefully) bolt straight on.
Thanks

The easiest way to clean the pipes/tubes is to blow through with an airline if you have access to a compressor

Re: Were 420 turbos built to order and what exactly does that mean?
I don't know about Rover customer ordered cars but Ford used to put an S.V.O. plate on them, usually on the inner wing. This was a Chassis style plate that stated the requested specifications. I had a Mk2 RS2000 Custom that was a Special Vehicle Order, it stated Body Colour Black & Trim Colour T...

Re: 216 coupe ride height
Yes, that's what I thought. Being a Coilover design, it's gonna look different from OE, but as long as the mounting points fit & the unit is a similar length, from an engineering point of view, it will fit. Spotted these as well, seeing as I've gone for blue accents on my silver Cabbie these wou...

Re: Quick Release Battery Terminals
I fitted these to all our cars, I find them great, especially when the youngsters get a flat battery.
