Re: 216 coupe ride height

Sorry for confusion, I haven't purchased. I was hoping someone on here had done or maybe had knowledge of fitting this particular kit to the R8.

If it's a fit I will seriously consider going for it.

Re: Recommended Paint/Bodyshop

I had mine painted 3 years ago at The Paintshop in Liskeard Cornwall at a cost of £3000. They used top quality materials Glasurit basecoat & Spies Hecker 2k Laquer. Obviously the quality of the finish is dependent on the quality of application. It is still shining as good as it did the day I pic...

NP Registration Area Code

I've been noticing a bit of a trend with Rover registration numbers lately. The old style NP Area Code keeps popping up, several pictures of cars for sale & people seeking their old cars on here & Facebook seem to be **** *NP. I myself revived a 218TD M32 RNP during lockdown last year. The N...

Re: Crook Locks

These so called security devices are pretty much a waste of time & money. Yes they do deter the opportunist thief, but they only slow the accomplished thief down. Father in Law swore by his 'Visual Deterrent' super security device, until he mislaid the key. He asked me for help so I sent him in ...

Re: First Outing for 2 Years

Technically a rear spoiler on a FWD car does help with weight transfer during high speed cornering, helping to keep the rear from sliding. Both cars handle very well at speed, on private roads of course :angel The Silver is a Honda Civic spoiler with integral Led brake light. The Turquoise is a Rove...

Re: Historic Car Tax - E-petition.

I guess cars are lasting longer than they used to when the original tax exemption was scrapped at rolling 25years.

They will lose too much revenue at 30years is my guess, far fewer 40+ vehicles out there.

Re: First Outing for 2 Years

Hopefully now the Covid issues are starting to lessen we will get to use them more, hopefully the shows will start again proper next year. Yes, the tester said they're not the official font, but they're clearly readable & he didn't have an issue with them. However the same font on the Wife's Meg...

First Outing for 2 Years

Father in Law & I took our Cabbies out today. Nothing unusual there until when talking we realised it was 22 months since we last took them out (except to the M.o.T station). September 2019 was the last time we took the cars to a show. How time flies :laughing2 :laughing2 https://ibb.co/DKTZD6Y ...
