[ Iwouldn't reuse the old thermostat housing, but buy a new assembly complete. There may be a choice of different thermostat opening temp ] As above if the old housing is in good condition I would reuse it with new O rings never had a issue doing that and I've done a lot off k series headgasket over...

Thanks for the feedback Evil C. I had the head skimmed and should be ok (the metal seems quite porous though with lots of black spots in the shining new surface - suppose this is due to casting). Regarding the thermostat, someone removed it from the car (they left just the original casing empty...)...

I would go back to the alloy inlet and throttle body first ecu will be set up for that and as far as I know the cams are all the same it the throttle body that lowered the bhp on the plastic inlet models they had a restricted on them easy removed but they were not 52mm , sounds like you have modifie...

As far as I know that is the part the rod is inside the switch ie one unit .

Yes not subframe but the mounting points , common on 45 , I would cut out and weld , i thought 200/400 club have repair panels otherwise but easy enough to make dolly and sand bag .
Also at the price of the subframe on Ebay I would check yours or at least have a spare .
