Sound Insulation in a R3

I’m not sure if I’ve asked this before ( :blushing ), but I found this behind the rear liners in my 200iS

I assumed that a previous owner had shoved it in there, but I’m beginning to wonder if it was fitted in the factory?

I’ve made some progress (not a lot!), so here goes. For the first experiment, I used a wipe to remove the gunge, which worked quite well, although the rough surface did tend to shred the wipe a bit. Are these the correct tapes to buy? I’ve decided that glueing is potentially too messy, awkward and likely to end in tears!

Thanks for the kind offer John. Both Dad and I appear to have caught Covid at the end of April, which has left us with fatigue and brain fog, plus I still struggle with the above from Sepsis five and a half years ago! Still, on the bright side, I retired two and a half years early because of it! :D ...

The above followed me down Station and Three Springs Roads in Pershore at about 16.00.

It was an M Reg 400 (Ocean Blue), in apparently good condition.

I’m not getting any better! :blushing While I was stripping ‘Bertie Bubble’, I had to remove the pressing which prevents the sun shade going back to far. Once it was out, I made a mental note to place them in a small plastic bag for safe keeping. So what did I do?……..Yep, you’ve guessed it, I forgot...
