I’m in the process of replacing the one in my 218iS. It’s a bit of a pain, as the interior trim (the A Post covers etc) have to be removed, but not scary, even though I’m a pretty useless DIYer! An interesting photo on the website. What a shame it burnt down. I’m sure it could have been sympathetically restored, but hey ho.

Call me a miserable old cynic ( 👂 ), but another convenient fire in a building being eyed up by developers? 🤔

Judging by the angle of the buildings that looks like a very steep bank, which does suggest a road coming up from a riverside. I think most people would agree that hydraulic power steering is superior in driver feedback and feel to electric. If my Leaf is anything to go by, I would certainly agree.
