Dont use an MLS gasket, they are not always the best option. Can mess up compression (they are thicker) and liners do need to stand proud. They dont always on older engines, not an issue with the block, tis just the tolleances were not there on the earlier cars Dont get it skimmed unless you really...

MKC103580 is indeed the supercession to MKC103020 for the R8 214 MPI Both need to be matched to 5AS. Both of these also quite hard to get hold of, as they were not used for every long. Im not sure if there is actually any practical difference between the two. "In thery" they should both be...

ECU's changed M/N as the later systems went to "robust" i.e. they have to get a code from the 5AS alarm to run, and thus, these mems1.6 ecus need to be matched. You can't put an earlier ECU in as the Flywheel configuration was changed (from 2 gap to 4 gap) Im guessing your ecu part number ...
