Yes new clutch as well. I am not a confident mechanic and was reasonably happy to pay for a specialist to do the work.

I quite like The Viking too, but the only problem is is doesn't specify the 200/400 range, so the name could actually relate to any Rover...

Anyone any idea where I can get some proper Rover mats for my 214 SEi?

I currently have some rubber ones in that were in when it was new in 1995 but they are worn out now. Don't want Halfords specials, but some proper Rover ones.

My dad bought a year old Rover 214 SLi, reg J259 DSP. It was red and an ex hire car. We had it for a year or so and I remember it being a lovely car. Then he bought a new 214i in white, reg L143 HCX. I wouldn't use silicone sealant for any boot leaks - I understand it is really bad for paintwork!
Stick with silicone for your bathroom and k1tchen - get automotive sealant from your local motor factors or Halfords!
