Ebay Changing The Rules?

Post by Mr Teddy Bear »

Ebay have obviously changed the rules some what, without sending much of a notice to us the punters!

I've been watching a Rover 75 in an auction, near here in Bath; no reserve and ONE BID at 525. This morning that has all changed start price 550 with a buy it now of 1300 and NO BIDS :humbug

It's the same seller and car so it originally had a shill bid? The good [if some what strange] townsfolk of Bath are trying to pull a fast one methinks?

It has always been allowable to cancel all bids and stop the auction, as long as it has at least 24 hours left to run.

I don't know if that is what has happened in your particular case? They stopped it early and then relisted at a higher price?

One thing is for sure, they rarely get the new higher price so might as well go to the pub and p**s the £17 you paid for the advert up the wall. At least you get something for your effort.
