Hi i have just become a member of this wonderful club & i am having trouble with my cabriolet's interior light unit, i have to keep jamming the button on it so my light works on the doors, my question is can it be repaired? or is their another Rover model out there with the same interior light unit. Thanks :)

Do you have a picture of the light unit

If you take the plastic cover off you will see the unit is pretty simple thing, with just metal contacts, nothing complicated, you can see the switch moving iirc

Most of the time it's dirty contacts, clean them with some scotchpads or similar. Sometimes the contacts end up opening out over time, as Vinny says they are simple items & once apart you can see pretty well what should touch what to make it work.

Contact rover-25x in the members list.

He has extensive knowledge of the cabby interior lights and refurbishing them with leds.

You can also upgrade the whole unit to one with the additional Map Light. :D

Hi - what is the part number of the original cabrio light lens, and the one with the map light? Are either available new?
