Hi there anybody know if when the TB is changed if the accelerator cable has to be changed at the same time, the vehicle is 1.4 16 valve Rover 25 facelift 54 plate.
Any assistance would be welcomed.

If your car is the restricted 84ps spec then yes, if you have the normal 103ps 48mm throttle (ZR 45 etc) the cable should be the same as the 52mm. The best way to tell is by comparing the cam on the side of the TB

Hi Cromp85, Thanks for the the reply & info I'll check it out, the car is a late facelift 25 so uncertain what size the current TB is.
Regards.

They are all 48mm and the only difference is how far the butterfly opens, if it opens all the way then you have a 103/5 BHP
model and you can swap over to the 52mm with ease and you only need to reset the stepper motor, easy process.
If the butterfly only partially opens then it is the 'restricted' 83/5 BHP model and you will need the other cable, a lot of people
have them lying around and on ebay, they were used on lots of models.
