The Wife Will Go Mad

I’m thinking about buying another Rover.
I already have the Tourer and the SEi. The Tourer is taxed and insured and used, the SEi is away at Rover Revival, but will be taxed and insured when it gets back.

The plan next year will probably be to move the SEi on.

However I have seen a Rover 600 (618 iS run out model) that I really like the look of. I could scrape the money together for it.

It’s a difficult one because I don’t want to miss out but I’m not sure I could justify having 4 cars on the go, and Mrs F would be the hardest thing to negotiate. Although it would be on the proviso that the SEi goes. Arghhh!

I started with one, I was categorically told to stop at 13.
So I’d say you have plenty of negotiating room yet and as soon as you get rid of that trampoline it’ll be safe to fill that back patio area...*laughs*

Is the iS Nightfire Red?

Give it a go, after all the SEi isn't even at yours at the moment 😄

I find that one or two cars appear easily. Three is a big jump but then they keep coming. Be careful. I got stuck at three then also of sudden I find myself at six or so and no trying not to break into double figures or I will be seriously sunk. I now have to classify some cars (such as chassis with V5 and ones which are just hulks with no intention or even in fit of madness to repair) as spares rather than cars to keep below double figures. The tricks you use to justify such things. At least you have a proven history of selling cars - I have only ever sold two old cars and scrapped two modern astras when end of life. Should never have sold the on but ... glad I did compared to what I have now.

Is there a simultaneous purchase that could be made, like a Spa day, or... well, something she's always wanted?

Anyway your garden is long enough, so I can't see the problem... although I also have an issue with any car count, but my limit is 1 :slapme

I believe I have met your wife, Paul. At a few car shows, so that's at least half of the battle won! (In fact, let's not call it a battle).

Only two questions need a 'yes' answer.
1. Can we afford it? (You have said you can)
2. Do we have anywhere to put it? (Several forum members seem to think you have! :laughing2 )

I am down to 2 Cars Now
Both R8

I Have a itching for a 620 AUTO with Full Cow
(And a Kia Pride ,SAO Penza , Triumph Acclaim Triomatic , Rover 213 Auto, )

I think the time to buy a 600 is now as they are still cheap

I think You need to sell the 214 First Mr Fixter

You could always hide the 618 in the North East and say It is Howards :D
