A few years ago the car was passed on to my wife who has being using it as her daily drive up until the 'bump'. Hope to get it back on the road soon. :D :D :D My other car is a Land Rover Discovery1 300tdi but my main passion is motorbikes hence the User Name !!!!

:welcome

The good news it that the front end of a Cabby is all common with the hatches/saloons so parts should be (relatively) easy to find. Finding somebody to do the work, unless you're doing it yourself, could be a little harder...

What the damage and what's your plan?

Greetings and shame regards the bump. Share some photos and sure help will be about. I might have some parts too. I have a bonnet and maybe a light. Whereabouts are you?

Hi again and thanks to those of you who have already offered help with the 'bump' on my 216 Cabriolet. The car is down with my local mechanic at the moment who has had the body jigged and checked the alignment before I start looking for parts. I need to speak with him next week and see what he is sourcing and what he wants me to get. The damage to the body is very light with only a small dent in the nearside front wheel arch as it was the front wheel that took the impact. The wheel has survived ok but I know I will need a power steering rack and the steering rack attachment u clamp as these have broken off, possibly a n/s front suspension leg ( possibly complete with hub ) and an inner wing plastic valance/cover. I will post a full list in the parts/ wanted section once I have a chat with the mechanic next week. The car is a 1993 216 Cabriolet,Auto,Non ABS, Honda engine and I'm based in sunny Rotherham, South Yorkshire. I still can't believe how helpful this forum has been already. Thanks again.

With that amount of damage transmitted from the wheel, there also may be some distortion of
the subframe, where the suspension lower arm attaches.
