Is there a Haynes manual published that covers the 218 Diesel engine?

Hi,
Fairly sure they did one, try searching on eBay for Citroen Diesel engine haynes manual, or Rover diesel Haynes manual. There are plenty on there.
I had one but gone to the tip unfortunately or you could of had it!
Cheers

I think I have the Rover official R8 WSM, covering the XUD engine. I could live
without it, as I found that the petrol-engine sections I bought it for had been
stripped out.
What level of detail were you after?

Just general maintenance and repair work, cambelt etc, is it the Peugeot 1769 engine in the rover 218?

Haynes did the 218 in the '95 on 200 series, but it seems that it's a petrol engine.

Yes I did look at that one, covers 5 engines and the 200 car so not sure how much info it will have, surprised they didn’t do one for the 218 in R8 form, guess they thought they’d covered it in the Peugeot Diesel engine book

The 1995-on 200 series (R3) did not use the Peugeot diesel engine, it was the 2.0 Rover L-series instead. The '218' in that range of cars was powered by a 1.8 K-series petrol engine.

Thanks, I did wonder about that as the Haynes peugeot manual only goes up to 95, think that’s when they bought out the HDI engine which was totally different and rover never used
