Ive ordered some parts from the the Netherlands.
DamenKroes didn’t include customs and excise duty!

Just been sent a bill for £69.48 from parcel force worldwide.

I sent them a copy of the letter from parcel force worldwide.

This is what he replied

Yes that is because of the Brexit.
We also receive very high invoices when we order parts from a non-EU
country.’

‘Unfortunately that is not possible. For me it is also always an unpleasant suprise what is charged.
Maybe the customs in the UK can explain this.’

Not the companies fault, they don't get any of that.

Vote leave, everything will be better on our own, on our own stuff costs more to get to you.

The government made this very clear when ordering from Europe once we luckily voted in favour of brexit so it shouldn't be a surprise. Same as when order from uncle Sam etc

I knew it was going to be something but not that high!
But now I know it’s going to be expensive!

It's the same thing the other way around, when we Europeans buy stuff in the UK and have it shipped over here.
Shipping companies do all of the duties for you (paying VAT + custom taxes if any, which apply to any order over 150£ for parts not made in the UK or the EU, and there are many of those now). But those shipping companies do charge you a fee as well for doing all that work.
Mind you, when we buy from the UK now or when you guys buy from us, prices you pay to the seller should always be VAT excluded...since it's charged at the border.
