Touching Up a Rover/Model Boot Badge

I also bought a 216GSi badge from Damen Kroes after many months of searching. I had contemplated trying to find a 216GTi and 416GSi badge and gluing the relevant parts together.

I’ve just unwrapped it and discovered that it’s not as ‘mint’ as I had expected.

Has anyone successfully touched one up? If so, which silver did you use?

I’d email Astrid and ask for a replacement-not really on to be paying (knowing them) full price for something that’s damaged.

She’s pretty helpful and receptive :)

You’re right of course. I’m just being fick as usual!

It's not like them to send sub-standard parts. You pay the high prices and expect "new" parts.

Definitely get on the phone and get a replacement.

Hmmmm. Still no response surprisingly, but I’ll wait until Tuesday to contact her again.

Back to the original question, has anyone touched one of these up or knows the paint code?

Astrid has finally offered a refund or discount off a future order, although I got the impression that they were a little reluctant, possibly because they don’t have another one! I’ve asked for a refund.

I will keep looking for a perfect one, although I’m not hopeful. If I have to resort to attempting to try and rectify the scratches, does anyone know the paint code of the silver paint?
