New member, just joined, saying 'hello!'
From Wyre Forest, Worcs.
Currently searching the forum for information - I'm looking to eventually own a Rover 220 GTi 16v 3dr hatchback.
I'm new to Rovers, I owned a Mk1 MX-5 last year for 6 months before I decided to sell it. It wasn't my thing.
Having found myself with loads of time on my hands I thought I'd try and get into classic car ownership, but a slightly more modern car!
Currently driving a VW Golf GTI Mk7.5 Performance 5-door (DSG) with a stage 1 APR remap, which has more than enough performance and luxury - it just won't get me into the classic car shows

There were few 3 doors for sale a short while ago - there might even be a list...
As a matter of interest, what was it about the MX-5 that you didn't get on with?

Welcome! Hopefully you’ll find a suitable car - they do seem to be popping up for sale with increasing regularity.
Interested to hear your thoughts on the MX5, too! My Dad has an NB, and it’s a brilliant little thing to drive. Horrible to work on, though!

Hi John. Thanks for the welcome
My MX-5 was highly modified and kept breaking down. I am not a fan of RWD, it always felt twitchy. I sold it to an 18-year old who wrapped it around a tree a few weeks later

Hello mate, thanks for the welcome!
My NA was a pain tbh, highly modified and not reliable. It wasn't right for me. I bought it off a friend as a favour (he needed the money). It was a lovely looking car but it just wasn't for me
