Rover 25 Pekton Remotes

Post by cybercontroller »

Does anyone else have experience with these aftermarket fobs?

How easy is it to get them programmed?

If your existing fobs are working but the buttons have fallen apart, you can buy a new shell and transfer your old circuit board etc into it.

This is one of many options on eBay: https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/303647904952 ... BM5rPOqb9i

If you want a complete fob (because yours has stopped working, or you want a spare etc) you really should contact Paul at Technozen Electronics:

https://www.technozen-electronics.co.uk ... irs-parts/

He will do anything from supply a fob to a complete Pektron unit overhaul if needed.

Yes, I have purchased the red fobs in the link above, and successfully matched them to the later Pektron system using Rover's T4 diagnostic system. the annoying thing about these fobs is they dont have the passive imoblisation feature in them, so you need to press the unlock button to turn that off.

The RCOC offer T4 Services (including fob programming), which are discounted to members of the RCOC and 200/400 clubs

Thanks, this all sounds quite useful and encouraging. I have also notice a key blade can be fitted to these red aftermarket pieces, how easy is that to get set up?

Had no response from technozen electronics so wondering about the RCOC option?
I am planning to be at the BL Autumn Rally in Milton Keynes if that helps.

Yes, we (RCOC) will be at the MK show, and happy to program your fobs.

WE only supply refurbished Lucas Fobs, so if you want to have a Pektron fob programmed, please order and bring to the show

With the cheap Red fobs - please let me know the barcode it comes with before hand. The last digit is actually incorrect, so I need to calculate the correct one before hand

All our programming is at owners risk, in the very unlikely event something goes wrong (fingers crossed, it has not done so this far) but the electronics in these cars at getting to be 20 years old, and you never know how they have been messed with in the past!
