Rover 200 & 400 Owners Club

The club will have a stand at the NEC Classic Show this year, and to help us celebrate the 35th Anniversary of the R8 model, we’ve been allocated a rather sizeable space!

This allows us to have one each of the iterations of the R8 (with an exception - we’re next to the Coupe club - so they’ll be doing that one ) on the stand, so a total of five cars.

The club would love to hear from members with a 3dr, Tourer or Cabriolet model who’d be willing to display their car on the stand for the weekend

The car would need to be delivered to the NEC some time on the prior Thursday, and collected on the Sunday evening. You’ve of course have a complimentary guest ticket to the show.

We’re not looking for particular colours or specifications, just the body styles above and ideally in as good a condition as possible.

We’re still looking for a tourer, if anyone can help?

How onerous is it on time for getting there and getting out? I have a 420GSi Tourer but I’m not sure I’d want to be at the show for 4 days! Also my car is a constant work in progress so not a show car - it’s my daily driver

The car would need to be in the hall from Thursday PM to Sunday PM - no movements in/out are permitted between these times.

I should have updated this thread, as Matt Richardson of Furious Driving has kindly agreed to let us borrow his tourer to display for the weekend.

Oh that’s way better than having my car! Also I can look and see what mine should look like! I like my charcoal grey but that night fire red is definitely better

I'm happy to lend a hand on the stand Saturday if needed.
