Anyone had trouble buying classic car insurance for a 25, 45 or a 75?
I've tried Footman James who said although they are over 20 years old they won't insure them. Neither will Peter Best.
Anyone got suggestions?
Thanks

I've only got regular insurance for my 45s and it was about £170 a year. I'm old though and live in a quiet place.
Think it was First something or other. Near the top on comparison websites

We have a policy with Howden since 2022.
https://www.howdeninsurance.co.uk/perso ... insurance/
Four cars on there: 1969 Austin 1300, 1981 Allegro, 1995 Rover 100 Cabriolet and 2000 Rover 25 GTi. All have agreed value and are covered for commuting. Costs between £300 and £350 and does not generate a no-claims bonus. Located in north west Leicestershire, I am not sure what risk rating they give this area!
They would not offer classic/agreed value cover on our 2005 Rover Streetwise, as it is not 20 years old yet.
Hope that helps

Try Peter James -

I've always found them helpful and they recognise our club cars as classics.

on the online drop down page to select Rover model there's no option for a 45, but there is for a 75.
