Small Hole Front Subframe Drivers Side - Car Ender?

Hi all,
Was working underneath my 2003 Rover 45 1.6 today, tidying up some surface rust on the front subframe with the intention of treating it with some Jenolite Rust converter spray (MOT due on 20th March) - and after using my trusty handheld wirebrush, a small hole has now appeared which isn't ever anything you want to see. The car is generally in really good shape, has always passed it's MOT's with no advisories and only done 58K miles, but now that this has appeared I am fearing that this might be a "car ender" ? Definately looks like some welding needs to be done, or I could buy a new subframe. Any thoughts or suggestions? Many thanks
V.

A wider picture of the area would help, but that doesn’t look like the subframe to me - that looks like the floor, which is a common corrosion point of 45/400/ZS models.

Hi #ITCaptainSlow - best shots I have are taken by the garage from under the car. This is from underneath facing forwards showing both left and right front wheels and the position of the objects needing attention, which the garage that said was front subframe - have they mislead me? (Those bolts in the images are the front subframe mounting points).

Yes not subframe but the mounting points , common on 45 , I would cut out and weld , i thought 200/400 club have repair panels otherwise but easy enough to make dolly and sand bag .
Also at the price of the subframe on Ebay I would check yours or at least have a spare .

It’s not the subframe, that’s the front floor section, part of the car’s unibody structure.
DMGRS sell repair panel sections in conjunction with the club

This is why we've had these panels tooled
Bung loads of cavity wax in afterwards !
This is how they fit together
