Unlock the car and then open and close the drivers door.

Let's say the code is 1234.

Key in, turn left once. Return to the center.
Turn right twice, return to center.
Turn left three times, return to center.

See where this is going...

Turn right four times, return to center.

The alarm LED should flash for a second. If the code is wrong, the horn will chirp. Open and close the door to reset.

If that doesn't work, try turning the key the opposite way... i.e. right once, left twice etc

The alarm should still de-activate from the key.

There's a little switch just next to the barrel inside the door. The connector for this could have come off.

You're going to have to get the bonnet open with the alarm going off and quickly disconnect the battery to stop the horns blaring, giving you some time to have a look behind the door card.

you could have just used the key in the passenger side to turn off the alarm...
my drivers side alarm switch was short c'd by a friend when we were filling aftermarket c/l :/
so if i lock by the pass and unlock the drivers the c/l dont work and he alarm goes off!!! :p
