Honda D16 SOHC engine interchangability

Hello all
My trusty old Rover 216 coupe Honda engine (code D16Z2) is really worn out now at 141K. I am looking for a good low mileage replacement unit. My car is not modified and I am not planning to modify it, so I just want to fit something the same as the original unit.
I have seen an engine from an auto transmission car and my question is - whether the engines are exactly the same, or if there are differences between manual and auto units such as engine block and crank differences, camshaft profiles, power output....? Basically, are all D16Z2 engines identical?
And are there any other engine codes that I can consider, or definitely rule out - I don't want to end up with the wrong motor.
Any help - or even a very good low mileage engine - would be greatly appreciated. I live on the Herts/Essex border near Stansted so I would consider about a 100 mile radius for collection.
Thanks!
Matthew

I don't think threre's any difference between man/auto engines,if your going to change engines it's definately worth putting in twin cam honda engine,a very easy swap...

Thanks - yes I've been doing some more research and found the same thing - as long as the engine code is the same it's an identical unit - apart from the throttle body which has a kickdown cable attachment.

You are probably right but Im going to keep the car original and my insurance down....
