Here is my Rover 216 GTI TC - this is the best looking side - as some t**t has keyed it down the other side.
Changed the alloys when i got it - these ones make it look so much better - as the other ones were in a really bad way
Also replaced some of the seats - interior is now immaculate
Just has 35mm lowering springs fitted - although it doesnt seem to have gone down at all????
Cant work that one out.

Lowering springs may not work if your car was already low. The measuremant is based upon the standard height and your car may already be lower than standard becuase it is the GTI or if the previous owner had lowered it.
For example if you fitted those springs to a diesel it would lower it much more than 35mm.
Great looking car by the way. Did it used to have lattice alloys on? They are hard to keep clean.

no, it has the four spoke alloys with most of the centre caps missing - but they were kerbed so much that i got hold of this set - only cost me 40 quid - and make the car look so much better.
maybe i should of got some 60mm drop springs instead - although it handles so much better than it did with what i think were standard springs

4-spokes? Do you mean the 5-spoke RoverSport ones?
Your new springs are probably stiffer than the original ones so at least that is an improvement. Standard ones are designed to give a compliant soft ride. I'd look out to see if there are any speed bumps or steep cambers that you regularly encounter before you go as low as 60mm.

thought they were four spokes? cant see now cos they dumped doen the end of the garden - i beleive they were standard alloys fitted to the rover 200 series gti - if that means anything to you????

Those RoverSport wheels were optional extras on the GTi models (possibly available on other models) I think standard 216GTi wheels were lattice alloys.
Don't throw them away if you still have them as someone may be interested in refurbishing them.

Iam taking them to get the tyres taken off at the weekend, then i was gonna chuck em away - but will now keep them - to give away to anyone who might want them in that case
