Newbie from Chelmsford

Hey everyone

I have recently taken custodianship of a 1995 Rover 214SLi in Quicksilver to use as my everyday vehicle as my two Metros and Allegro don't like coming out in the winter. I am a total BL, Austin Rover and MG Rover Nut!

My friend brought the car at the 25th Birthday Event and has kindly let me have it to look after and use it.

I am familiar to R8 ownership having owned a White Diamond 214i 5 Door as a stop gap car in 2006 and previously owned a MG ZR which is based on the same underpinnings.

I could tell the 214SLi was a nice car but after spending two days detailing it and cleaning it she looks superb and almost too good to us! However, I only cover minimal mileage and don't rely on using the car for work.

Up until 2008 it had only covered 11,000 miles with an elderly couple and been serviced religiously at Trinity Motors in Hinckley.

Today it has just turned 50,000 miles.

Very tidy indeed - especially those sills!! :clapping

They do look good in silver but there are surprisingly few around. The Silver craze had yet to take of in the mid-90s.

Like your other motors too :D

Welcome, Tom!

R8s make great daily drivers, although I admit I haven't used one for that for around 5 years now.

All you need now is a transporter, so that you don't have that difficult decision of which car to take to a show :wink3

Really like your 214 SLi Tom!

Pretty much identical to my 216 SLi! (Apart from the engine of course).
