In a nutshell, nowt special, just an R-Reg 1.6 K-Series Silver Cabby, I had one identical that I
bought in 2010 but sold in 2012 due to lack of space and money, been looking for one the last
year or so, I had help in the search, well, I say help, more like badly influenced, the pic below
sums up 'the helper' *laughs* !

This is the old Cabby at Pol 2011.

After much searching, pondering and scouting overpriced dogs on ebay and unreasonable
sellers we found one down in Bridgewater, Somerset, 500 mile round trip but the seller
was a very genuine backstreet ebay car dealer working out of a caravan.

Managed to grab this quite cheap, VERY tidy motor, the coolant is a bit grim looking, no
signs of HGF but need changing, leccy roof needs a push to get going but works, the old
vinyl roof is very creaky and crispy, no leaks, rips or tears, only a standard model though.

Plans, well just get it back on the road for now, change the coolant, backbox is a bit rusty
and rattles, roof needs replacing eventually and i'd love to get some Coupe rub strips and a
front bumper but new house makes that something to save up for but just thought i'd share.

Put it in for an MOT yesterday, car has been laid up since September asides the trip to bring it
home, passed with one advisory for a tyre, VERY happy with this, it also has a battery that holds
its charge so ready to get it insured. :D

Before setting off to go I put a bottle of Holts Rad Flush in the coolant bottle ready for the fresh
OAT that should be arriving by at least Monday, get the nasty stuff out.

Well its fully on the road now, took a trip to 1234dist Towers on a rainy Tuesday, weather held up
the coolant swap but the car was a dream to drive there and back, got stuck in the M56 traffic
heading home and it was stop start for about 25 mins but the fan kicked in when it should so no
stat issues.

The roof was very lethargic upon purchase but not the pump makes noises like it is struggling and
the roof now needs assistance to close, myself and dist are pondering if it is either a matter of old
hydraulic fluid loosing its effectiveness or a cog/impeller problem like on the Escort Cabby Roof
pumps, its quite possible that they used the same units, does anyone know if Karman did the roof
work on the Rover Cabby ?

I also need to sort the suspension out, the car feels like its made of jelly and drives like its on
custard, asked about for some ZR struts as a replacement.
