Luckily, Lotus still exist and have the records... Rover/MGR doesn't so there's nobody to ask. Back down the individual testing route? :slapme

Is there potentially anything archived at the BMM? Or did the contemporary stuff we need (Euro 2 & 3 cars, essentially) all “go down with the ship”?

I think that question has been posed before and the answer is that it was owned by SAIC and has been disposed of.

One other annoying aspect to this is late registered [ post 2006] MGTF's are ULEZ compliant!]

In case you cant see the image, it says :-
Need to make your Rover ULEZ compliant?
Easier than you might think. Due to the way vehicles are registered, all cars before March 2001 are non ULEZ compliant by default. A lot of these vehicles can be made compliant as they meet the emission standards. You need a Certificate of Conformity with a NOx reading of 0.08 or below in order to do so. These can be purchased for £120 from the company who bought the all the registration data from MG Rover (C&C MGR services). You submit the Certificate of Conformity along with a copy of the V5C to TfL on their website and if all is above board, they will make your car ULEZ compliant.
It took TfL only 24 hours after the application to make my fathers Rover 45 ULEZ compliant

C&C MGR Services Limited are here - http://www.mgrccservices.com/ and their telephone number is +44 (0)121 445 4132

This is what they say on their website

Nothing else to report...

The service exists and works but he's not (yet) doing the helpful thing on putting up a list of likely cars that'll comply.

It is worth trying the reg number in the TfL checker - my daughter's 175 quid 2002 1.4 Rover 25 was listed as "compliant"

You and Paul could have gone for a drive (if he has a MOT and insurance that is.
