Seems a lot of us suffer from moistness eh? Well my input to this subject is, on my 416 i was getting mist on the rear window. On inspection i found the plastic trim dividing the rear quarter window to the rear wasnt as snug as it should b, i removed the interior trim n found the factory seal round the quarter window had come away allowing water in.. Cue copious clear silicone sealant, job done!

Mine used to leak like mad, so as a matter of course I use to silicone the lights and silicone around the vent, always solved the problem.

Okay just a suggestion, lay in the boot with a good torch and spray the back end with a hose pipe. I know this doesn`t simulate driving water but anything that is a run off problem should show its self.

Have had to use this on cheap accident reapied cars as they tend to go a bit culinder like.

Have a look round the rear quarterlight seals as well?

Water running through the rear glass seal will gather in the rear quarter panels and spare wheel well.

While you're there....check your drain holes. I know it's small consolation, but most of it should also be draining out.

As most of the other folks have already said....the rear light clusters are also a common culprit.

Yes the boot liner was taken out at the weekend. I've sealed up one lamp twice and made some mods to it to help. I also modded and sealed up the other lamp this weekend to see if that cures it. The sunroof drains are clear and located properly, the side vent flaps seem to work fine too. There aren't any drain holes in the bottom, well not until you take the grommets out first!

Hmmmm....always had respect for engineers with forward planning!

It took me flippin' months to cure my leak. Got there in the end, but those grommets did come in handy for a while.

I hope you get it all sorted without too many headaches.
