That's what happens when you don't excessively pad out the profit margins.

Could you collect from London? though I am waiting to my pass my driving test so it might be a little while. But max around 2000 quid seem very reasonable

I'd send a courier via shiply for a London collection as it would work out cheaper (approximately £250)

That sounds reasonable

Like idk if that is enough after that engine hasn't started since 2002, as I suspect it needs a full rebuild
Doesn’t necessarily need a full rebuild if it was in good serviceable condition when it was laid up!

Be interested to see pics of your car!

There’s been some talk of resprays on here recently - it seems the figure is anywhere from £3k to £5k

Extra? It doesn't need it, just a clean I just thought it might look nicer

That won’t even be a bare metal job either for that money!

Paintwork (and crucially, good quality paintwork) costs. The adage “Cheap, quick, good; pick two” is never more appropriate than when discussing bodyshops!

A high quality paint job takes a lot of prep time, and time costs. Someone quoting a grand for a respray will leave you with a rubbish looking car at the end of it.
